Emerald Anti Cheat. New on the forum: Emerald runs as an external client, separate from the game. Server owners add code that syncs with Emerald, and a panel shows connections and detection reports. FiveM servers can try it free for a week. Too new to review: we’re keeping an eye on it.
Built-in FiveM settings that block the best-known tricks before an anticheat even has to step in. Based on the forum guide by wjuton.
Turn off networked sounds
Low risk
Stops siren and sound spam that gets broadcast to everyone over the network. Most scripts play audio through NUI, so the impact is small.
server.cfg
sv_enableNetworkedSounds false
Filter control requests
Test first
Stops clients from taking control of other players’ entities: the classic ‘every car flies away’ trick. Mode 4 never routes REQUEST_CONTROL_EVENT at all.
server.cfg
sv_filterRequestControl 4
Entity lockdown
May break scripts
Relaxed blocks entities created by client scripts; strict blocks all client-side entities. This one breaks scripts easily, so start with relaxed.
server.cfg
sv_entityLockdown relaxed # or: strict
Sanitisation convars
Low risk
Blocks forced ragdolls and vehicles or objects being attached to players.
