Spooky season: the Halloween scripts dominating October

October on the FiveM forum means pumpkins. But this year, one release overshadows everything else.

RTX Ghost Hunting: release of the month

With more than 600 likes in under two weeks, RTX Ghost Hunting is by far the best-received release of the past month. Players take on a case, put a team together and head into a haunted house. Using a thermometer and an EMF reader, they track down the ghost’s room. They then collect evidence with a spirit box, a camera, a writing book and a silhouette projector, log everything in a shared journal, and work out which of ten ghosts they’re dealing with.

The tension comes from the sanity system: the longer you stay inside, the more active the ghost becomes. It throws things, slams doors, trips the fuse box and eventually starts hunting you. For the brave, there’s an optional exorcism finale.

Why it works: it’s not a ‘press E’ job but a complete game mode that gets players talking, planning and jumping out of their seats together. With the in-game location creator, your staff can build a haunted house anywhere, without a restart.

RTX Halloween V2

From the same studio: the whole Halloween night in one script. You go door to door, a neighbour answers, and the candy physically drops into the bucket in your hand. Everyone around you sees it fill up. On top of that: picking pumpkins and carving them with your own knife, 35 decorations and jumpscares.

Our advice

• Run Ghost Hunting as an event on a fixed night, and have staff prepare a haunted house in advance with the location creator.
• Check seasonal scripts in resmon before they go live.
• Switch seasonal content off again after November: every resource you don’t need costs performance.
